About the Print
Standing on Waterloo Bridge on a winters evening as the commuters streamed past, I wiped away the ink from an inked up metal plate, slowly revealing this fabulous iconic building, the Oxo Tower. I’ve always loved the way it nestles amidst the plethora of office blocks, a diminutive iconic beacon. The site was aquired by the manufacturers of Oxo cubes in the late 1920’s, and when permission for advertisements on the outside of a new tower was refused, the tower was duly built with four sets of three vertically-aligned windows, each of which “coincidentally” happened to be in the shapes of a circle, a cross and a circle!
