One of six A1 (image size) monotypes of views taken from 2 trips to the Brecon Beacons in Wales this year.
This landscape is very affecting, barren and beautiful. The weight and stature of these monolithic shapes that pervade this range of hills and mountains change constantly as the light moves throughout the day.
The print was made by painting and rolling onto an A1 acetate ‘plate’ and then, once happy, printing the ‘plate through the press. The print was then reworked as needed.
It is printed on Fabriano Tiepolo and is framed in a handmade, wooden, painted and waxed frame using 2200 micron archival mountboard.
