In the heart Of Laurie Lee land, in fact just next to the newly named Laurie Lee wood this unique spot looks out towards the Severn and the setting sun and the confluence of the 5 valleys that Stroud straddles. A bitterly cold evening, I sat transfixed as the sun lowered, the colours intensified and the light faded. Hands like ice cubes, I wanted to record the shafts of light that seemed to pierce through, illuminating the Slad valley.
