Description

A hot afternoon at Uffington, Wiltshire. Just to the top left, out of view is the White Horse of Uffington but this, for me, was the view.
‘The Manger’, where legend says that the horse grazes at night, is a dramatic dry valley with steep rippled sides left from the retreating permafrost during the last Ice Age.
These ripples are known as the Giant’s Steps and caught by the sun’s rays the whole hill side glowed and came alive.
