Description
As the snow gradually thawed on the hills over towards Slad, what remained in the contours and grooves of the land started to describe the landscape in a graphic and flowing way that was compelling to paint. I was particularly struck by the presence of the silhouetted trees, winter bare, against their snow canvas.
