This view of the Seven Sisters seen from Seaford, just outside Brighton, is quite spectacular and immensely powerful and takes your breath away as you crest the hill and first take sight of it.
I had gone to paint it on a march afternoon, but arrived late as the light was fading, and a crescent moon was rising. The cliffs, catching the moonlight, almost became more pronounced against the darkening skies.
